Coding IS ALIVE - CODER, used to be MT

Oh, but you see, that is the beauty of coding, there are so MANY avenues that it can diversify into for jobs. As our medical system changes and technology changes, the coding industry is adapting and changing with it, opening new doors for work. All one has to do is go to the website of Bureau of Labor Statistics at https://www.bls.gov/ooh/healthcare/medical-records-and-health-information-technicians.htm#tab-6 and see the need for coders and the projected growth. Go to AAPC's website and search for average coding pay over the last few years to current. These are facts that speak the truth. So what if things change in the future, so what if it is remote, as long as one stays educated and up to speed with everything and INFORMED, there will always be positions available in this field. What happens when one can't adapt to changes? They get left behind. Part of being a medical coder is staying up to date on all the changes taking place. So, listen to everyone's depressing outlook on this field or take an initiative and get educated, get a good profession in coding if that is what is desired, and make decent money.
