So, I filed for unemployment earlier today and find out that Nuance has been using Transcend's tax ID for UE reporting in my state. I told the UE rep that I worked for Transcend until Nuance bought them out in 2012. The rep I spoke with said they were supposed to update that back in 2013 after the buyout. She ended up having to track down which Nuance I actually worked for. Still not sure if it was for the one in MA or the one in GA (both the same company), but the addresses and tax ID raised a red flag for them. Got it filed though and had it noted on my claim that I was unsure if I would accept the severance until I speak with an attorney.
