MT is dead. I got fired from Softscript, and they are horrible people, so forget them. I was recently hired by two other places, people seem nice, and I'm not an IC, but the pay is not good and training intense. I am in my late 50s, but I would suggest to any MT young or old to look into any other trade program. I'm going to. I'd rather work at Fred Meyer than do this, and I am pretty sure it pays better.
