I don't know anything about the MModal scribe position, but I was a remote scribe for about a year recently. The physician I scribed for would record the patient visit from start to finish. He would also dictate imaging results prior to seeing the patient. I would listen to the visit and pull out SOAP items, etc., based on training I had received for that particular physician. I was able to query him via email if I noticed a discrepancy or if he forgot a small part of the physical exam, etc. I had to key everything into an EMR, which in my case was either Athena or Epic. It was a lot of fun but very, very tedious, and I was paid hourly. I really do like MT editing more, but remote scribing was a great experience.
