If by forensics you mean pathologists - aviatrix

If by "forensics" you are referring to either the pathologist who did an autopsy or the medical examiner who is a pathologist, then the answer is of course yes.

You would work as a transcriptionist for a pathology group and thus would be working in "forensics". Also there are some pathologists that are specifically forensic pathologists. If you are thinking you are going to be doing CSI work you are delusional or very young or both. You will need to be an MT doing regular MT work for about five years before transferring into pathology which requires the most knowledge of anatomy and physiology and DNA and RNA and everything that a general transcriptionist knows plus some. I've done it. It is interesting then it is like every other job. I transcribed have the day and ran the mini morgue. all that and a bag of chips.
