Daily Transcription is a transcription services company located in Los Angeles, California. We are seeking to build a successful team of reliable transcribers who possess strong attention to detail.
This is a remote position.
Transcribers will be responsible for inputting time on the scheduler, receiving and confirming assignments, completing assignments by deadlines, communicating with submissions on a regular basis.
Transcription audio/videos can be of 30 minutes to two hours in length. The videos/audios are primarily of the entertainment nature dealing with reality TV shows. We also do a lot of interview transcription.
Transcribers are responsible for following the guidelines and procedures set forth for each assignment.
*Transcription experience
*Excellent spelling, grammar and punctuation skills
*Ability to Google search correct spelling of unknown words or names
*Ability to transcribe verbatim dialogue, "uhs, or, ums," included
*Ability to dive right into the work with minimum direction
*Self-motivator
*Type at least 50 wpm
*Ability to follow required guidelines, procedures and formats
*Ability to insert timecodes correctly
*Ability to meet strict deadlines
*Microsoft Word
*High-speed internet access
*Previous experience with transcription software(s), such as Express Scribe and different media types is a plus
*Familiarity with accessing cloud storage applications; i.e. dropbox or box

You will be expected to take a 6-minute video test for evaluation of skills.
Rate: $.75 to $1.10 per minute of audio/video transcribed.
**A word of note: there is not a guarantee of work each day that you sign up. There are days that we may have more work than transcribers signed up and other days where we have more transcribers than work available. We need to have a steady, successful team on hand not only for our busy seasons but for future anticipated projects.
