in a grocery store and I'm 56. For the last 30-something years, I have done nothing but transcription, so I knew that wasn't going to help. So, what I did was pulled out my experience pertaining to the job I was applying for - in this case, right after high school - didn't use any dates, but was sure to put down my date of HS graduation so at least they would have an idea of my age. I got called for an interview and was hired on the spot. I also got hired as a retail person for one of those big travel spots you see on the Interstate at the same time, but liked the bakery position better so I took that. It's only part time, but it's a steady paycheck and 5% off groceries as an employee. I'll take it!!
