If a report goes to QA, it will likely fall out of TAT, costing money and it costs more money to pay QA to get the report out. Businesses do not care if you are doing your best or not, they want to make money. Many doctors do not care about our paychecks or the quality of the report or they would better at producing better raw goods for us to transcribe.
If providers want a better report but are unwilling/unable to speak clearer, they will likely embrace point and click or whatever to bypass us entirely. If you find a profession that is not thankless and compensates well, please let the rest of us know. It seems most businesses and professions are out to cover/enrich themselves. Those careers that have rewarding moments often have a lot of crap that go with them. As I tell my teenagers, it really does suck to be an adult a lot of the time.
