This is true as every job has its downfall and people who are hard to work with.Yet this has become something way beyond what it started out to be. In-house we were paid fairly at least. I don't find it is something we just put up with. We were treated as a hospital employee and had wages, benefits, overtime, differential, breaks,lunch, seniority, and a vacation! It really is like an abused spouse where you have put the years in and built your life on a career that has kicked you in the teeth, broken your jaw and your spirit and now how do you start over.
People were asking why their resume's were not being given any consideration and they felt ignored as if they did not meet the advertising services' qualifications. That's all. I know there are abusive work places....in-house had it also, but we had many other perks and a life.
