I was part of a buyout almost 3 years ago. We maintained as we always had for a few months, then became their pawns to train voice rec (unknown to us of course), be micromanaged to do so, and then the accounts were outsourced and offshored once they had reached the threshold to do so (i.e. easy for India to do and all the kinks worked out for the domestic outsource companies and their ICs).
Good luck. It will be the same for you. The acute care/hospital side stil exists from what I can tell, but if you are on the ambulatory side with clinic accounts you won't have this job forever.
