I live in what is considered a rural area. Funny thing is I have houses all around me using the same internet. My local phone company tells me I can't have internet b/c it's not available. I have a landline with them though. The same phone company is well-known for providing internet about 1 or 2 miles down the road. I'm told not enough people in my area want it. That makes me so upset, but my whole street said they would sign up for the internet. I'm on a wait list and supposed to be notified...still waiting and don't see it coming anytime soon.
