After what my patient portal showed, I do keep a record on what is documented in my chart. I had a mammogram a few weeks ago and waited for the results. After not hearing anything I called my doctor. She said everything came back fine. I later got an e-mail saying new information was posted in my online patient record. I logged in and looked at my Radiology report. It said I have tiny masses in both breasts. This information was critical because I may not have gotten a mammogram next year due to insurance and changes in jobs. Apparently, it is small enough no further testing is needed at this time. My score is 2 and 3 is the recommended further testing point. I will be sure not to miss next years mammogram to see if there are any changes. Anyway, be an advocate for yourself and your family. Always check to see what is documented in your record if you can. Sometimes they don't bother to tell us things, when it really is important.
