If you currently have service through your cable company or phone company, you may have a "wireless router," meaning that you do not need an ethernet cable running across the floor to hook up to your computer or other devices.

There are also mobile "hot spots," which rely on the use of cell phone towers to get wireless internet.

If you have a "wireless router" from a cable company or your phone company you should be fine and not needing to use satellite.
