So I've been sick with the flu. I had to take a day off. I really wanted to try to make up my time, BUT I can only make up my time with the makeup shifts available on the swapboard. I do understand that if we are not busy that is the fairest way to do it, BUT if we are busy and they are asking for OT/extra hours, why can't I pick up those shifts, INSTEAD of having to work a makeup shift at 3 a.m. to 4 a.m. or 12 a.m. to 1 a.m., etc. I guess MM would rather have me take PTO instead of helping them get the backlog down.
