Have you? - CS Grad

Posted: Sep 29th, 2016 - 12:13 pm In Reply to: MT needing advice - wondering

Have you looked into Career Step? While many say that they only prepare you for the CPC or CCA, their curriculum also meets the AHIMA criteria to sit for the CCS. While they do not advocate sitting for the CCS straight out of school, there are very good prep courses for it that when added to the Career Step cost still are much less than Andrews.

For a testimonial of Career Step, I attended, graduated with honors, sat for the CPC three weeks later (passed magna cum laude) and within the next three months also sat for and passed the CCS and CRC credentialing exams. I also know others who have had the same experience as myself with Career Step.

Additionally, if you happen to have gone there for MT, you will receive a very nice discount on the coding course.

Career Step also pays for your first credentialing exam (CPC or CCA).
