Medquist was too lazy to break down which MT was owed what and yes there were many employees named. The fraud happened over years. Medquist admitted they underpaid their employees and overcharged clients. They repaid the clients (Kaiser) but paid the MT money to AHDI in a lump sum. AHDI said they would offer memberships, books, etc. to the MTs who had been short paid, but AHDI kept the money instead.
I am wondering how that old biddies club is still in business. That is why I am leary of any organization that makes me pay dues in order to obtain their certification.
Any info on AAPC or AHIMA? They cannot be as corrupt as AHDI.
