for just regular secretary-type jobs, I was appalled that I only tested at about 40-45 wpm, with lots of typos. I got my speed back up when I took a Microsoft Word class at my local adult school, where we took a speed test every week. It gradually improved. Editing sure messes with typing skill... that's for sure! :(
