laid-off Cali employees - axed employee

From what I understand, the 30th is the day we get the severance package to sign, not sure if it is coming via e-mail but sounds like it will be - I have asked but have no reply yet. It appears to me we will have to work the 30th or not get the severance package. The letter that was attached to the original e-mail states the last day of work is September 30th.
