If you have your platform and also webclock - Just make sure webclock hours are 40 hours Posted: Sep 19th, 2016 - 3:41 pm In Reply to: new acquisition - nuisancemls
Meaning, on the last day of the pay week (Friday is ours) just make sure webclock reflects the total hours as 40 and not over, at least that's what I do.
Then on your platform if you go over a bit it's no biggie because the webclock one is the one that matters.
I usually end up on Fridays with 1/2 to 1 hour more on my platform time keeper than webclock (I don't log in and out of webclock unless I get an OOW usually, just let it run for my daily scheduled hours so every day is the same).
Even if I were okayed for OT I would not want it, so on Friday I just do the hours to make up to the total, giving myself 1/2 to 1 hour shorter shift on Fridays, so that's all good too.
Sometimes I end up with a bit more on my platform timekeeper than the webclock, if my final report was a long one or something. I think you have a certain degree of flexibility in that they are allowed to differ a bit, but not substantially.
But the webclock one is definitely the one they seem to care about.
