About 5 years ago, I went with an over-the-head noise cancelling set that I bought on sale at Radio Shack for about $40 (no longer in business) and am still using them. I think the sound quality is much better than the old MT style. You just have to get used to it being on top of your head instead of under your chin. So, with that said, you and she can look at places like Best Buy, Target, Walmart, Kohl's, etc. The prices range from around $30 to $300 plus. No way I'd pay that much, though. There are also the earbud type head sets at those same stores. Was it Transcription Gear that you think was rude? I've always found them very accommodating.
