I have just started using MT stars and I have now done five years as a MT. I am thinking the same, as others, that this will keep me in my old age and now I am 42. However, NZ do not pay very highly? When I did my course I was told that I could get up to $28 per hour, but this is now turning out to be very untrue. I have now branched out and gone to an Australian MT company but it is still early days. However, I have been working my butt off for 3 years for NZ company and got paid on average $22.50 per hour (no holidays or benefits) and worked 6 days a week throughout the year with no holidays. I will see how I go with this Australian company but starting to doubt my career and worried after seeing your post! I hope all goes well for you though and I shall stick it out a bit longer.
