If you are young enough to still be in the workforce for awhile, go for it. I retired from a hospital three years ago making $19.50 an hour and did this as they were phasing out the MTs inhouse. After 7 years there, left with a check for $20,000 for retirement ... to add to another pension from another hospital and an annuity from an insurance company.
