WBCs wbc's - Anon

Posted: May 30th, 2016 - 2:23 pm

Need a bottom line.  I was trained that WBC was used for a count, and wbc was used for cells, i.e., UA with wbc's too numerous to count.  I got dinged for this, and it was changed to WBCs.  My spellcheck won't even accept wbc's.  This is not used anymore?  Are both correct when referring to cells in a UA/culture? TIA for your help with this.
