Did you check under options in Fluency about your foot pedal? There are multiple different choices of types of foot pedals. Every time I put Fluency on a new computer, my pedal doesn't work and I have to go in and change it to the USB one I think. I'll have to look next time I'm in Fluency.
As for references, all MM employees are automatically subscribed to Benchmark for free. I use this quite a bit and it works very well. Ask your HDSM what your login is.
