We mean nothing to the higher corporate level. The only thing they care about is saving money on payroll to show the ability to cut costs and increase profits to their shareholders. When I was an IC, the split was 30% to the house and 60% to the IC, as far as compensation per report. I have heard from people who were absorbed during takeovers that the difference between what Nuance charges the hospitals and what they pay us is dollars versus pennies (huge surprise...). They are paying their shareholders profits and paying for their offices and corporate overhead with money cut from our compensation.
