No good deed goes unpunished - anon

Welp, I guess 20+ years in the biz hasn't taught me everything.  Case in point: When someone asked questions on this board concerning a certain company, I'd always put in my 2 cents worth if I had recent enough experience good, bad or indifferent.

Which has come back to bite me in my substantial behind.  The company I work for has been wonderful as far as work load, being left alone, etc.  So when someone posts a request for information before pursuing employment here, I've never hesitated to give the place a glowing gold star.

Yeah, I know.  Big mistake.  Like I said, I haven't learned everything all these years.

This past week I've run out of work no less than 3 out of 5 nights' work.  Since I started here, very rarely would this happen; maybe one evening every couple of months.  I just signed on for tonight's shift and there are exactly 3 jobs in the cue.

No more Ms. Nice Person, but I fear it's too late.  The overhiring has already happened and I see nothing but a bleak future here.
