Alvarado versus Eldorado brace - SM Posted: Feb 12th, 2016 - 12:40 pm
I have an orthopedic surgeon who dictates 'El Dorado" brace in every one of his total knee arthroplasty surgeries. I have never been able to find an 'El Dorado' brace. Assuming he means an Alvarado brace, i have been putting Alvarado and then flagging it for him. Well this week he decided to start spelling it and kept spelling out 'El Dorado'. I am still pretty sure he means Alvarado, but i thought maybe i would reach out and see if anyone has ever even heard of an 'El Dorado' brace/knee positioner. I think he heard it wrong and actually means Alvarado, but i better be sure since he started spelling it out for me.
