You have to constantly stop transcribing to hit the keys to stop and start the audio. There is no way it could increase production - it does the opposite. I had to do this last night when my almost new foot pedal would not stop playing. I also had to do it for a transcription test and it really does take twice as long using keyboard commands. I wonder if they are using a cheap platform that doesn't work with a foot pedal.
