Sounds nice, but did they discuss pay? Docs are having to see more patients to make even near what they used to make. Most are just accepting whatever insurance will pay them--they don't even have their own fee. SO, that means it may be a low-paying job.

I would interview THEM, and ask them what the motivation is for hiring an in-house MT. If it's because they're tired of EMR or having used an MTSO where there is often poor quality, it sounds okay. If it's because they just lost an MT and have only always used an MT, they may end up outsourcing to an MTSO or going strictly EMR.

Risky, at best, but if you have time and energy to take the chance, go for it---just ask the right questions and also be prepared that it may not last, even if you like the answers you're given.
