One of the borg got in so deep they had to file bankruptcy. The other is teetering on the brink. These large services have unbelievably huge debt services. A price war would kill them, and if this government ever embraces the common sense that tells all of us that allowing confidential health information to be accessed by people in other countries that have no regard for our privacy should not be allowed, then these large services will be dead in the water. Their source for cheap labor will be cut off, and they will be stuck with their greedy, cut-throat reputations and no way to survive the massive efflux that would take place amongst their transcription ranks as the MTs who made it all happen and whom these corporations took advantage of and cheated for so long began moving to a service offering a fair wage while at the same time extending a better rate to clients whose only loyalty is to their profit margin. The idea that the big corporations are under bidding or even have that financial capability at this point may be short sighted.
