It sure makes it nice for them, though, doesn't it? They KNOW they will always get work done quickly as everyone is continually checking for jobs. So, ANYtime they have work, someone is going to grab it. They only care that the job gets done per contract in TAT...not that you sit without work when there are no jobs.
It seems like they think: Why not overhire? No skin off their nose if you DON'T have work.
So aggravating....and we grovel for the work they do throw our way.
I hate what these companies have done to us. We are talented and skilled. It should not be this way. Time to move on if we can.
