Shorthand help - wordie

It might be a shortcut that was inadvertently saved including the NoSpace tag. I've done some inadvertent saves, too.

Try this. Go to File, Preferences, Auto Replace. Check the box for Show Hint Window When Keyword Detected and hit OK.

In a blank document strike the backspace key. If there is actually an inadvertent short saved with that key, a little popup window will appear identifying which short that is in the dictionary, and when you go back into Shorthand window, you can then find and delete it.
