Upgrades - A different experience

Posted: Aug 3rd, 2015 - 8:50 am In Reply to: I Totally - Agree

Employers need to use at least Windows 7 as XP is not HIPAA compliant and Microsoft no longer issues security patches. My initial experience with Windows 10 was a little different than your son's. I upgraded from Windows 8.1 and the installation went very smoothly. However, I rolled it back because I had issues with the Microsoft App Store and some of the web sites I routinely use do not support the Edge browser. It is possible to switch to IE temporarily but that's kind of a pain and personally I was not all that impressed. Win 10 has potential but it's still too new. In typical Microsoft fashion, they released a program to the public while it still contained bugs.
