Misinformed - WA resident

The state minimum wage in California is $9.00 an hour. The $15 per hour minimum wage applies to The City of Los Angeles only. I live in WA state and the same thing applies here, the higher minimum only applies to Seattle. Not the entire state. Minimum wage is only one of the reasons MTSOs don't hire in certain states, it's just expensive to get set up and do business, and companies are heavily taxed. WA and CA are serious about enforcing workers rights but that is only part of the picture. By the way, we are paying for that wage increase with restaurant surcharges and higher prices across the board.
