Could it be a fold of omentum?
CLOSING A PERFORATED ULCER
The stomach was retracted and a perforation on the anterior of the duodenum exposed.
The perforation was closed with several interrupted sutures of 2-0 catgut on an atraumatic needle.
A fold of omentum was sewn over the hole.
