How would you write it when the doctor says pulse is in the 100 to one teens??  Thanks

I would personally type it just as you have it. One teens could mean 113,114, 115,etc., to 119. This question has been posted in the past and others say they type "one teens" as 110s, which is incorrect since the doctor is specifically stating "teens" and not "tens." Hope this helps. :)

I think something could be said for both - SM

You probably wouldn't ask how to type if it he had said 120s, so why would 110s be different?

I believe it's different. sm. - FlaMT

If a doc dictates "120s" then of course you'd type 120s. I've never had a doc actually say "one tens" - they usually say one teens, so I would type it as one teens because that's what was specifically said - 110 is a specific number and usually dictated that way as just 110. However, one teens covers a range of numbers just like 120s covers a range. I personally have never heard a doc say the phrase "one tens" - I've always heard "one teens." Just my own personal opinion on this. :)
Shouldn't that be a little bit of a clue? - sm

I don't know how long you've been doing this, but it would seem to me that if it's any length of time, the fact that you have never heard one of them say the 110s would seem to lend credence to the idea that 1-teens is the 110s.

Surely you don't think that in 2, 5, 10, 20, 30 years, nobody you've typed has ever had a blood pressure between 110-112.

120s denotes the range 120 through 129, just as 110s denotes the range 110 through 119

IMO - "one-teens" just looks rediculous AND you should be using numerals for the pulse.

110s - just the way it is -120s, 130s

No one has a blood pressure in the one elevens or one twelves; 110s is how "one teens" is written.
