Cystoscopy - Type Of Urethra? Oct 18, 2010Cystourethroscopy was performed, and the patient was noted to have a normal (___) urethra. However, at the junction of the pendulous and bulbous urethra there were several wide aperture strictures. The bulbous urethra and the membranous urethra were completely free of stricture.
I can't figure out what type of urethra he is saying. It seems slurred to me, and I can't make out what it starts with or ends with. Maybe ending in a- u sound. It has an s in it ...

We then directed our attention to the urethra. The 12-degree lens and 17-French flat (___) cystoscope were inserted, and the bladder was examined and was found to be completely normal.

How Can A Doctor Say "benign Prostatic Hypertension" ..... Mar 28, 2015How can a doctor say "benign prostatic hypertension" but yet I am penalized for transcribing "on Doppler" because someone is claiming it was dictated "by Doppler". The standards of healthcare across the board have horribly declined if the word "on" is what they are choosing as a focal point. I mean really, which one constitutes a patient safety issue? As a a potential patient someday or having someone near and dear to me who may potentially be a patient someday, this is seriously concerning. I ...

Tumor Marker Question Nov 14, 2012Dictated "CEA was elevated at 29, CA 15.3 at 1938, and CA 27.29 was elevated at the outset at 2243."
My questions are regarding the CA 15.3 of "1938" and the CA 27.29 of "2243." Should they be "19.38" and "22.43" or "1938" and "2243"?
When I'm googling the reference ranges for CA 15.3, a value of 19.38 doesn't seem to be elevated; neither does a value of 22.43 for CA 27.29. But.. 1938 and 2243 seem awfully high. Can someone please help me with this?
Thanks!!! ...
