Posterior tib - ml

Posted: Oct 19, 2010

When a Dr. dictates "posterior tib"  should it be posterior tibia, posterior tibula, posterior tibial ( an noun does not always follow it)

tib - hope this helps

Tibia is the noun.
Tibial is the adjective.
Tibula is not a word.

posterior tib - ml

so you would NOT use "tib" by itself?

that would be up to you - and account specs

"Tibula" is TOO a word. Duh!

From Wikipedia: "Tibula (Greek: ΤιβοÏλα, Ptol.), was an ancient town of Sardinia, near the northern extremity of the island, which appears to have been the customary landing-place for travelers coming from Corsica; for which reason the Itineraries give no less than four lines of route, taking their departure from Tibula as a starting-point."

I should have said not a medical word - thanks for the "duh"
