Pathology help, please - SM - je suis MT

Posted: Dec 23, 2014

Received fresh, and placed into formalin fixative, the specimen is labeled "left breast biopsy", and consists of a rounded, somewhat *, egg-shaped mass, 4.3 x 2.9 x 2.4 cm.  The cut surface has a somewhat fish-flesh appearance, with frequent ** areas.  No hemorrhage or necrosis is seen.

*s/l "boscillated" or "vahsillated"

**s/l "cletid" or "klepted"

Any help appreciated :)

I'll go back & listen but that sounds like it could be a good match.

Any idea on blank #2?

Your suggestions seem like they could be contextually correct. Just listened again at varying playback speeds, and can't make either fit with the sounds coming out of his mouth :(

Thank you so much for your good help. If he fills in the blanks, I'll post.

Wishing you much success!
Seems like you've got great skills - hope you're picked up by someone who appreciates and pays for them.

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year to you & your loved ones.

First word is probably - spiculated.

I hope I'm not too late. I seriously doubt it's fasciculated.

I'm not at all sure of the second one.

Sorry - Tina

[ In Reply To ..]
fasciculated has to do with muscle twitching...I am sure poster is right and spiculated mass is correct. My apologies!!!

Thanks to all - will post his fill-ins - nm - je suis MT

the final - sm - je suis MT

Well, he signed off with "bosselated" as first descriptor (thanks, anonymous helper!) and didn't fill in the blank for the second.

Thanks again to all who pitched in on this one. Merry Christmas :)

Maybe the dictator meant "cleft" but said "clefted" instead?

You're welcome - sm

For the 2nd blank, maybe the dictator meant to say "cleft" but said "clefted" instead?

Pathology Pay - $1.25 Per Report
May 21, 2013

Current offer from MTSO to type pathology at $1.25 per report. I have only typed pathology before for hourly rate so I am unfamiliar with whether this is the going rate, but M*Modal pays $2.00 per report so I am thinking not. Wondering what I should be asking them like - after 90 day period can I move up to at least $2.00 per report? Does this include gross, micro, and diagnosis sections?
