Hello,
I would like to transcribe from home again. However, I HAVE to get up and walk for a few minutes at least once an hour. You see, I had to have 2 back surgeries in the last 18 months. I've been a transcriptionist for many years and this is my profession. Does anyone have a suggestion what to tell these companies that will hire you to work from home when you have to get up so much? The last company I tried had a "pop-up" box that appeared on my screen if you were up longer than 10 min ...
This patient is in for groin pain, diagnosis of hip early degenerative arthritis, DR states in HPI that she has a "history of s/l shark lordosis"
Under PE he states she has "no sensory deficits of lower extremity except for baseline s/l stockings of glove distribution secondary to her s/l shark-loida peripheral neuropathy."
I know that makes no sense but this DR sounds like he had a long night last night and may still have some substances running through his system. LOL He is usually ver ...
Pt with pattern one back pain status post MVA. The rest of the SOAP note is, frankly, exactly what you would expect. Prescribed Baclofen.
"Follow up if not improving or worsening. Did advise patient in regards to ____ s/l Zet-lie for resting the back five to ten minutes every one to two hours. "
FWIW it does not sound like side lay to me. It has a definite "Zet/set." She started dictating this about two weeks ago, has dictated three times. I've sent it in bla ...

I just received my audit of five reports and in the diagnosis I put:
Acute and chronic low back pain.
I received a minor feedback and it was changed in the diagnosis to:
Acute on chronic low back pain.
Is this something new that I am not aware of? ...

Stupid question, but how would you write this?
We placed "6-5-45" screws in the sacrum and placed "7-5-50" screws in L5.
6.5 forty-five and 7.5 fifty? ...

I'm going completely blank on this one. The patient entered the hospital for chest pain. The doc states: (blank sounds like gel, or jail)
He denies any current discomfort but states when it is present it is usually a mild to moderate degree of pressure about the chest. He denies any radiation to the _____, arms, or back. ...
Does anyone have a secondary job that they fall back on while working MT at home? I'm thinking as a virtual office assistant, stuffing envelopes, direct mailing, etc. Looking for a reputable company. ...
I'm having a problem with this part of the diagnosis as she doesn't specify to go on to the next number, as she does with the rest of them, but I've never had someone that adds the procedures used to fix the diagnoses in this section. This is the sentence as she says it, "1. Coronary artery disease, status post 3-vessel CABG in ___ vertebrobasilar insufficiency." The she says "number next" and goes on to the next one. Because the previous word(s) are blanked out, and b ...

I'm having what is probably a simple problem w/ this dication. She starts out with the principal diagnosis, lists them, and then goes on to what s/l hyograph other diagnosis. I can't tell what she is saying. ...
This company wants me to sit here and type up unfamiliar accounts, get audited on it or send to QA and get deducted for it.
Can we audit and deduct pay, bonuses, new cars, homes, lunch dates from our board of directors?
I was always told I can wait and work later when more work comes in, BUT NOT WITH THIS NEW SCHEDULESOURCE COMING IN BECAUSE THEY WILL LOCK ME OUT?
THIS COMPANY IS DANG CONTRADICTING. ...
I know 2 other MTs who have noticed the same thing. We have not had a single post audit on our primary accounts but let us do 5 reports on our secondaries and we'll get audited on it. We presume they do that trying to "get you" to keep you from getting the bonus for QA. For example I worked on my secondary Monday - first time in 2 weeks, did 3 reports and 1 got post audited on 1. ...
