working on ortho surgery. CANNOT find this word. Have researched for literally HOURS. Only know it must be some kind of tool or procedure....grrrr.

If you don't know and can't make anything out, it's best to leave a blank. Never guess.

[ In Reply To ..]Okay got this one backwards, I should have included the sentence BEFORE, because I THOUGHT I had the word right, but am not so sure now.
The [s/l shaver] was then used to resect the meniscus back to a stable rim. [s/l ???] was used to smooth the unstable cartilaginous flap on the tibial plateau.
I found it "cached" on this site, as "chamfer", chattiere, etc.
Very confused. Any help is welcome.

Could be a number of things - best not to guess
[ In Reply To ..]You can't be sure exactly what type of instrument or what type of procedure was performed if you can't hear it.
It is ALWAYS best to leave a blank in a case like this. Never guess on what you think it "might" be.

What is the final say on how to use these words?? Is is tibia fracture or tibial fracture? fibula fracture or fibular fracture? What if there is another word in front, does it become "proximal tibia fracture" or still 'proximal tibial fracture"? I find some people do it one way, others the other way!!
