tibia/fibular shaft fracture or tibial and fibular shaft fracture - nitpicking my work
Posted: Jun 10, 2011
paranoid about nitpicking my work... I find it both ways when I search
Both are correct. - sweetgirlsmom

I would be consistent with tibia/fibula or tibial/fibular, rather than tibia/fibular. Tibial and fibular is also correct. You should type it whichever way it is dictated.
I type what they say (verbatim), if they say slash they get slash. - but, yep, both are correct.
What is the final say on how to use these words??
Is is tibia fracture or tibial fracture? fibula fracture or fibular fracture?
What if there is another word in front, does it become "proximal tibia fracture" or still 'proximal tibial fracture"?
I find some people do it one way, others the other way!!
Thanks in advance for any help/direction/link to help with this. ...

Every catalog I get is full of imported goods, so I emailed LL Bean and Lands' End to take me off their mailing list permanently unless they start building factories here and bring the work back and that I would also encourage others to do so. I got a pat response, of course, that my email was "forwarded to the appropriate personnel" who would then "look into the matter."
With each catalog that happens into my mailbox and has only imported goods, I will email that company to re ...

Segond fracture: This was a new one for me today and thought I'd share. See Wikipedia link below for more, but basically it's named after a French doctor (Paul Segond) from 1879. It's a "type of avulsion fracture (soft tissue structures tearing off bits of their bony attachment) of the lateral tibial condyle of the knee, immediately beyond the surface which articulates with the femur." --Wikipedia. My case involved a skiing injury where the binding did ...

Good evening everyone. So, this patient had a galeazzi fracture of the forearm. The doctor says about his film study: "On the lateral film I think there is a little angius in the distal fragment, a lot of segment comminution." Now on the tape it sounded like segmentminution, so i'm wondering if angius is two words also? This may help also: "comminuted fracture through the diaphyseal portion of the distal radius", and "Galeazzi fracture with some disruptio ...
