M-Modal is getting worse since Medquist bought the - just me

company. I think I would be so ashamed to be associated in any way with this program that I would consider quitting. I know they make money, but the garbage they are turning out is the poorest quality I have ever seen. I thought they hired an MLS to be on their staff, but obviously she is not or does not know anything about transcription. The owners certainly do not care as long as they get their money. There is no way to get any speed with editing on that platform now. I used to be good at editing, but recently my count has gone down by about 100 lines per hour.
Sure makes me glad I am not working for Medquist where I would get all the nasty stuff they pull on their employees, too. That would be way too much.
For sure, neither one are industry leaders from what I see.

That's because my company has the draft accuracy percentage set fairly high. It's not M-Modal itself, it's how the company who is using the system is operating it on their end. It all has to do with the draft accuracy percentage that is allowed for the drafts that we edit and a lot of it has to do with how the MTs on the account are trained.

I was just notifed by my company that I am working at that MedQuist has bought them out and will be taking over as of the middle of next month. So now Medquist and M*Modal are merging. Wonder what this is going to mean for all of us working for companies that utilize M*Modal. Now I understand why WMX sold out to Nuance. Seems to me no one wants to hire Medquist because of their terrible quality so now they are swallowing up competitors platforms and bullying their way into accounts. Is It Me, Or Is DQS ASR Worse Every Day? (sm)

I thought this ASR crap was supposed to get better as it "learns" the doctors and their frequently-used phrases... didn't someone say that back in training? I'm talking about DSG in particular, but I know a lot of people use DQS ASR, so please bear with me. So, how come it now can't seem to get a single sentence without major corrections having to be done? I'm about ready to apply at McDonald's if this keeps up... my pay is about 1/3 of what it was when we did straight ...

I was terminated for reasons I won't go into here--after 9+ years at my last employer. Thing is--I was looking anyway and informed potential employers that the company just was "no longer a good fit." What finally tipped the balance was an e-mail we got a few months ago stating that after an MT had sent a certain percentage of reports to editing for comprehension issues, for instance, they would be penalized 0.03 cpl for doing so! Assuming this is legal, IMO, it's immoral ...

Had not heard of this before. Now it is automated dictation. You know how the national weather service bulletins are computer generated voices, chopping and mispronouncing words, monotone, etc.?
