Download Word 2002 to 2007? (sm) - Rose

Ugh!!! I have Word 2002 and 2007. Spend the dayi transferring from my XP PC to my laptop with Vista for a new job. The laptop will no longer install anything from CD. Checked driver and that's fine. Works with music CDs just not data. Does anyone know where I might safely download a Word program? I tried Microsoft first but they claim both my product codes are not correct (2002 and 2007) but these are in original packaging. Thanks.

Also does anyone know if you can simply copy a Word CD to flash drive? If so that would be another option.

You can't transfer programs, only data - from one computer to another

Data meaning photos, documents, PDF files, etc.

If you can't install Word from a disc that you purchased you will have to buy a new version online or purchase a download. To my knowledge, there are no free Word downloads.

I had office 2003 and 2007. My new Windows-7 operating system only takes office versions 2007 and up. She has 2007 she can use, all she just needs the .exe file for the installation. If installed old computer already, she won't need discs, can copy the .exe file to a flash drive, but WILL need the license key on the box.

I have had a computer with Windows 7 on it for three years and when I was installing programs, I had absolutely no problem installing Office 2003 on my Windows 7 computer and this was off of a CD that a friend burned for me and I never had a problem with the product code, etc.

I have XP and a newly acquired computer with Win-7 Professional (this is not vista). I had MS Office Ultimate 2007 on the XP computer. I copied the .exe or run file to a flash drive and dropped it on my new desktop on the Win-7 computer, and then did the download off the .exe file. Just click it and it should install the whole program, Word, Excel, and whatever else it comes with. Worked for me. I now have my MS Office 2007 on both computers.

Got it installed from flash drive. The challenge was finding the right file to use as the 2002 Word file was not an .exe file but wordret.msi. I really appreciate the help from everyone on this. Last thing I need is another obstacle before going back to work!

Hey everyone. Why is my macro disappearing everytime I close word? I don't normally use macros but for this instance I am. I just created a simple macro by going into Tools, make new macro, etc. I test it out on word and it works. Hello, My company is using Word 2007 and we just decided to change the way we format our office visits. Instead of listing the medications in a paragraph form with commas after each medication we are listing them in a column and numbering them. Our problem is that when we get the dictations in our speech format they are in a paragraph. I recently upgraded to Office 2007. I previously utilized both Autocomplete and Autotext. Using Autocomplete in conjunction with Autotext allowed me to not have to memorize as many hot keys. Hi, I use Word 2007 for work.. Yesterday I must have hit some sort of function key that turned on a blue box that surrounds information in header/footer and I have no idea how to turn this off. Called IT,, must have been busy because they assured me that this box cannot be seen on completed reports.
