Download ISP at least 2 mbp now? - alphamt

Found out the hard way just this week that download speed is now 2 mbp or greater, with fluency shutting down on uploads. When did this happen? I was treated as if it is my ISP that is below-par on speed, but had upped to a 1.5 mbp plan just for "Q" a year ago. Did my ISP just stop working well with Fluency, or did the "Q" once again cause issues without allowing its employees who are home-based to plan for them. Now my production is zilch for the week of the ISP learning curve, and that is a pay cut I cannot afford.

What do you mean Fluency is shutting down? I haven't had any problems so I'm just curious what you're talking about. If you could explain further that would be great! Thanks!

I was thinking the same thing...read the post and had no idea what I just read. Have had no Fluency problems either.

You may have to upgrade. Also you should check the speed of your ISP at different times of the day as there is heavier traffic on the ISP's server at certain times of the day. It probably does have something to do with your ISP and/or modem.

This magically worked after the MModal logs were deleted AND ordered more than 2 mbp download internet ($40 more per month rural carrier). Using a Dell XP. Wondering if any of you knew that the download speed is NOW 2 MBPs minimum on speedtest. My issue lasted for 1 entire day, irregardless of internet activity. My provider gives the same up- and download speed, which is unusual and it does maintain that.

Thought maybe some of the issues others are having this week and lately with sound are related to download speed. Of course, the tech dept does not state WHEN the download speed requirement changed. I was doing fine with 1.5 mbp until 9/24. It took MM 4 days to keep intervening on the computer. Had DEP Shell error message on desktop, and Fluency error/shutdown message in Fluency window. Any insight would be appreciated.

Does anyone know of a way to download WorldClient (the e-mail system for Nuance) e-mails to your own computer? As far as I know, the regular MTs/MLS do not have access to connect Outlook or something like that where I know how to download them.
