Startstop Transcription system - cctype

Does anyone have any idea how to use the Start Stop system. I just bought it and I am having trouble getting started. First I could get it downloaded. Now that is accomplished. Then I tried to download an MP3 file - Locked it up. Keeps saying the file is too small. I am supposed to test out for several companies tomorrow. I cannot get the pedal to function to slow down the dictation enough to type it. Any suggestions???

Does the company provide technical support or have a website for a manual? I feel for you and am not familiar with this. I use software from DigiTel Software, and their technical support is awesome. I pay a yearly service contract, well worth it. I also purchase equipment/software from ECS in Ventura, CA, who assists me in everything.

I had used this system for almost 10 years and then just suddenly, PORTIONS of it just stopped working. I needed to use it and contacted tech support. they sent me a different download saying my may have been corrupted. the download they sent me was the same one I already had and did not function properly either. It took three days for a tech support to contact me via phone and remote into my computer. He could not get the thing to work either, used cuss words over the phone, and ended up saying "it's broke!" and said he would call me back when he had an answer and a fix for me....that was six months ago and I am still waiting! well, not really waiting, as I had to have something and purchased a different system. I truly think they have stopped "supporting" their software and will not fix it. They charge a lot for their system to just let it not work right, and it Ps me off! oh, and if you have windows 7, you need an upgrade which you should get for free, but it does not help anything. good luck! I am sorry it does not work.

Have any of you transcribed or managed transcriptionists/dictation on Transcription Gear's Atom Live System? beyond repair. We let it go on far too long, the abuses. The lawsuit will help, but it is not enough, and it will take too long. I shouldn't be complaining about making minimum wage or less than minimum wage or be bullied into changing my timesheet. Somehow I have gotten this virus on my laptop and when searching for ways to remove it on the internet (on my desktop), all the sites are either extremely comlicated or want you to download things in order to remove it. The problem with downloading is that I can't even get to the internet on my laptop. It blocks anywhere I want to go but brings up constant pages of porn. My account was switched over 5 weeks ago and truthfully I don't see improvement. One day I think maybe it is getting better and the next day it's worse. It's simply unfair that MQ pays me the same same whether I do a normally dictated report, or one that is handicapped. Handicapped reports obviously take much more time to finish. Here's my new grading system for leaving markers. It's how I'm going to grade the documents that are necessary to include blanks in case they are thrown back at me for any reason.
