Need info on Transcend platforms. I use Bayscribe and find - mm

it is not transcription friendly, almost antiquated. I have considered switching to BeyondTxt, but don't want to do VR after my experience with Medquist. I know Medquist has a horrible VR program and Transcend's is supposed to be better. Have any of you used both platforms and can compare Bayscribe to BeyondTxt? Also, how does your VR production compare to transcription? I would appreciate any input.

I've never worked on the BeyondTxt program, so I can't help you with a comparison. But I absolutely love transcribing in Bayscribe. For me, it's a very straightforward platform, very much like transcribing in MS Word.

So I guess that I'm just curious why you don't think that Bayscribe is transcriptionist friendly.

I had been on eScription at another company and then switched to BeyondTXT when I started at Transcend. I found BeyondTXT to be clunky - you had to put extra characters at the end of lines so that it would format correctly. Totally insane when you consider we weren't paid for those hidden commands! I hated Transcend and their silly platform.

I don't like BeyondTxt either. I'm not sure what you mean by hidden commands unless you are talking about the paragraphs. Maybe it depends on the account? Either way, BeyondTxt is awful. It takes forever just to load your ADT information in and then heaven forbid you have to send copies to another physician.

Although I am a former employee of Transcend - my biggest complaint about the BeyondTXT platform is what you actually see on the screen as you are typing is not what the completed report looks like on the other end. It is like playing a guessing game constantly. What you see is not what they get in other words. The axis diagnoses on the psych reports is a guessing game as well - the spacing may look right as you are typing it, but the completed report may look different as well.

I currently have 6.0 installed but I keep getting messages on other web pages that my browser is too outdated to download/view these web pages. Some pages take forever to open and others won't download at all. Is Bayscribe compatible with IE 7 or 8? ...

Thanks in advance. I am CMT with 16 years experience, currently working for a recently bought-out MTSO. I will probably test with Acusis this weekend. Is 9.25 cpl realistic for Acusis at all? but from the posts, I can see that everyone else is in the same boat I am. I can only agree that this is the lowest paying MT job I've ever had and that the constant haranguing about working extra over the weekends is completley annoying. I worked for 5.5 hours for Nuance the other day and made $47. I then worked for a private client for 2.75 hours and made $82. If only he had more work for me!
