Is it possible to run 2 different platforms on 1 computer?

Can anyone tell me if you can have 2 platforms on 1 computer? I currently work in ChartScript, but I am hoping to pick up some part-time work and would be using Emdat. Can I have both of these on one computer? Also, do you know if Instant Text is compatible with Emdat? Thank You very much :-) ...
