MModal platforms - wanting to jump ship

Could someone please offer an opinion on MModal platforms, i.e., are there many, are they easy to learn, easy to use?

Don't know where you are jumping ship from, but please consider all your options. Phrase about frying pan into the fire comes to mind.

Yes there are many platforms as Mmodal is gobbling up companies as fast as they can along with whatever platform they are using. Yes they are easy to learn but there is a learning curve. Yes they are easy to use but at 4cpl it does not matter how easy. The average lines here are around 200-250 on ASR according to the latest report, barely minimum wage. And that is if there is actually work.

running out, but not all. I have only worked on DocQscribe so cant speak for any other platforms. DocQscribe 7.1 is very user friendly and easy to learn and has got some really nice features, which I dont have time to go into detail on.

I am not sure about the pay anymore, but I make more than 4 cents per line though, it sounds as if everyone starts out at 4 cpl regardless. Some are making 4, some making 4.5, some making 5 and some making 6 cpl for editing. Straight typing ranges from 8 to 10 cpl, but straight typing is pretty sparse and you get more editing than anything.

Yes they are quite easy to use, at least that is my opinion. I am older and I have to repeat things, and go over modules probably more than some, but I have worked places that the platforms are far more difficult to use. Easy!! You won't have any trouble at all.

have probably been lucky, but as work is going more and more to India, they will probably be stuck without work soon. But of course, with the lack of work and the lousy ASR, the company is driving more and more experienced people out of here, so eventually there may be some work. The platforms are not that bad, but the ASR is lousy, so you will be fixing so much stuff that your pay will be very low.

Could somebody explain to me what a platform is? I am being asked what kind of platforms I am familiar with and I'm not sure what they are looking for here. Has anyone here turned down a job with an MTSO because their platform is crappy? My employer's platform is TERRIBLE!! You have go through 15 mouse commands (no hot keys!) to perform the simplest function such as signing off a job. I have never seen more inefficient software in my life!! Of course, since they own it now they claim it's the greatest thing since sliced bread.... Would love to hear your platform stories!! ...

I have trained on the above platform and now have doubts about the above platforms. It seems to me it would be very difficult using these 2 platforms. Going through all the steps that you have to go through just to get 1 report done seems like a very long process.
