Infinity Foot Pedal Issues with eScription platform - lotsawork

I just received my Infinity USB foot pedal from PCDictate. I am employed with Nuance using the eScription platform and I am unable to get this foot pedal to work. Can anyone who works on the eScription platform (preferably with Nuance) tell me what settings to use so this thing will work? I'm about at my wits end. I'm beginning to think the old pedal I had was fine and I spent money for nothing. I have a new computer and it shows the pedal IS installed and functional, but it will not operate the dictation. Thanks for your help.

have to change the port - defaults to COM1 - sm

In EditScript, with a job open, alt-O, go to the foot pedal tab, change it to USB and click ok or save or whatever it is on the bottom, I can't remember. Alt-N to skip that job cause it won't take effect till the next one. Next job that comes in, should be fine.

and Alt + N is really a no-no, because that report gets "stuck" in the queue, adding one more to your set number (which, in my case, is 3 at a time, so using Alt + N ups it to 4, etc.). There have been problems at our MTSO with people's active queues increasing due to the use of Alt + N, apparently in order to attempt to cherrypick, so it could also be considered a red flag.

Whenever I have to reset anything like that via Alt + O, I exit ES immediately afterwards, and when I come back in, the changes have taken effect.

depends on the facility - it can be set so that when you alt-N it releases - it's deisnged - to stop cherry picking nm

easy enough to justify it that you have a new foot pedal and were seeting the adjustment, it's clearly documented in the ES documetnation taht it does not take effect until the next job -- yes you can log out and back in -- just basically you have to get a new job to make it effective

Hi there! I've been using ExpressScribe for my Infinity USB pedal, but I can't stand it! I'm used to being able to tap the middle pedal once and it automatically rewinds a few seconds, know what I mean? Anyone have a problem with Infinity USB foot pedal? I called the company I bought it from and they sent me a new one. Still having same problem. Hi!! We had our meeting at the hospital today with Nuance about being onboarded with them.
